First off, the review for the Benefit It’s Potent! Eye Cream…
Product Description (printed on the box of the product):
This is actually my second sample of the Benefit It’s Potent! Eye Cream. I got my first sample when I received my BDJ Box Elite: Girls Night Out. I like that this eye cream has a lightweight texture making it easy to apply. It could be easily absorbed by the skin making it suited to be used before applying makeup. With that, there should be no excuses anymore for you not to use an eye cream during the day and before hitting the sack. Haha! 😛 It might be a bit weird to use for the first few days because you can feel that, somehow, it has a light stingy feel on the eyes. After that, every time you are going to use this, your eyes will just feel light and fresh. Say goodbye to unpleasant, groggy eyes! 😀
Next, the review for the Benefit the POREfessional and the Benefit Stay Flawless…
These products are both makeup primers. They work differently but they complement each other in keeping your makeup looking perfect.
I super duper love BDJ Box!!! 😀 For this month’s box, June 2014 BDJ Box: Let the beauty begin!, we are getting another exclusive box featuring Benefit cosmetics. I was not able to get the first exclusive Benefit box last March so I am lucky that, this time around, I could get to try Benefit products! 😀
Here are all the items inside the box.
The items for this month’s box are all sample-sized products. Though, I think that they are all worth using since these items could already somehow complete your travel makeup kit. 🙂

It took me some time to publish a review on this because at first, I thought it does not work well on me. I really wanted to like this product but it cakes on me after a few hours. I had already prepared a review on this but I just did not pursue on publishing it yet. Thank goodness I did that! Why? If you have dry skin or you have a combination skin type (which is my skin type), you will need to moisturize first before using this correcting powder. I shared with you in this post that I just had my moisturizer and I purchased this powder last month (as featured in this post). For that long, I had been having a love-hate relationship on this product. Haha! 😛 It is all because I did not prioritize moisturizing at that time. Oh, so wrong!!!
Here is my Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Powder in Creamy Natural. 😀
(front – lid of the packaging opened)
You can see in there that this powder has four different colors: pink, green, yellow and the actual color of the powder (creamy natural).
I never knew about makeup primers until I had my wedding almost two years ago. When I was looking for makeup that I could use for my wedding, I don’t have any idea what I need to get. Well, maybe, just a bit of an idea. Like I need foundation, blush, mascara and lipstick.
When I went over the stall of Majolica Majorca in SM Makati, that was when the saleslady told me that I need to apply a makeup primer before any other makeup product. I was like “Huh? Primer? What’s that?” There goes the Makeup 101 lesson I had at the said department store that day.
To help you understand more how important a makeup primer is, I listed down the benefits that it could give for you (the list below is based on this Inquirer article and this beauty advice from totalbeauty.com):
If you have oily skin, a makeup primer could be your best friend. It works on minimizing the oiliness in your face.
Your makeup could be prevented from melting or streaking especially during a hot weather.
It can serve as a skincare product as well since primers also have SPF (Sun Protection Factor) which can protect your skin from the sun. (This depends on your chosen primer, though. I think not all primers have SPF.)
The foundation that you will use can easily glide without any traces of streaks since primers could give a velvety, silky finish on your skin.
Since the foundation could glide easily on your skin and the makeup can be prevented from melting, you will look flawless for longer.
Noticeable pores could be hidden by a primer.
As of now, there is only one makeup primer that I have tried and that is the Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie Pore Cover.
