It was the first of February this year and I got to meet with other BDJ Box Bellas at Open Space in 134 Jupiter St., Makati City.
It was for the launching of CoverGirl’s newest collection: the Ready, Set, Gorgeous! product range.
The whole range consists of three products (liquid foundation, concealer and pressed powder) that could easily make any girl look insta-gorgeous. These products come in different shades to suit your skin tone and they are all very affordable. 😀
We had a very special guest that afternoon to teach us different makeup techniques using CoverGirl products. She is none other than Say Tioco Artillero, a famous Filipina vlogger and makeup guru. I already met her before when I visited her makeup studio for the Private Selling Event of Chedelyn’s Cosmetics Collection. I was so happy to see her again and that she was able to recognize me. 😀
I was able to attend Pixy’s first makeup workshop which is in collaboration with BDJ Box. It is the BDJ Box Beauty Soiree: Get Pixy-fied! A Kawaii Experience. It was held at The Blackboard by Chef Michel, The Podium Mall.
Before we started with the makeup workshop, we ate some yummy dishes served at the restaurant.
After eating, we already proceeded with the program. Ms. Liz Lanuzo introduced Pixy as the newest makeup brand to hit the Philippines. This brand came from Indonesia and the products consist of Japanese ingredients which are really suited for Asian skin.
Here are some of the Pixy products that were shown to us. For makeup newbies, this brand could be a good start if you are going to build your makeup collection. They have cute makeup packaging, the products are really good and they are also very affordable. If you would like to know where to buy Pixy products, please refer to this post for their store outlets. 🙂
Here are the different shades available for some of the Pixy products.
Last month, BDJ Box announced in their Facebook page that Shu Uemura will be having a Drawing Pencil Workshop in which they will be featuring different eye makeup styles using the Shu Uemura Drawing Pencils.
I was able to attend the schedule that was held at the Shu Uemura counter in Rustan’s Makati. Ms. Cats Del Rosario was the Junior Make-Up Associate who did the makeup demo that afternoon.
Ms. Cats did the whole skincare routine first before applying makeup for the model. Then, she taught us how to do a perfect face makeup using different Shu Uemura products. This is actually the first time that I heard from a makeup artist that you can use two shades of foundation. The first one (the shade that is suited for the skin tone) is used for covering up the skin imperfections. The second one (a darker shade compared to the first one) is used to contour the face instead of using a powder.
After the face makeup, Ms. Cats did the eye makeup. She introduced to us the Shu Uemura Drawing Pencils. Shu Uemura aims to include fun in putting on your eye makeup so they came up with various colorful shades for you to choose from. Some of the pencils have shimmers and some have a matte finish. But all of them can effortlessly glide on your eyes so you can put on your desired look easily. Also, they are waterproof and smudge-proof. You can be sure that throughout the day, your eye makeup will stay put.
Here are some of the shades available for the Shu Uemura Drawing Pencils. 😀
When I saw the announcement on Benefit Cosmetics Philippines Facebook page regarding their Holiday Makeup Workshop at Rustans Makati, I immediately sent a message to reserve a slot. Aside from that, I took the opportunity to finally meet Ana Victorino. I have already watched some of her videos on YouTube and she is really good at her craft.
Just a little trivia… We’ve got the same first name… (Ana Patricia) 😉
When I started having interest on makeup, it also started my interest on reading beauty blogs that could give valuable reviews on what products are worth buying. One of my most visited and favorite beauty blogs is Lush Angel. The blogger behind Lush Angel is Ms. Angela Nepomuceno. Her blog posts have a wide variety of topics from her makeup reviews to her OOTDs to her attended events and so much more. 😉
Last month marked the fifth year anniversary of Lush Angel. Yes! Five years!!! Oh my!!! How I wish I started beauty blogging earlier. To celebrate her blog’s new milestone, Ms. Angela collaborated with Bobbi Brown for a makeup workshop. To be able to attend the said event, regular visitors of Lush Angel should be able to comply to the mechanics stated in her blog post “Bobbi Brown x Lushangel.com Make-Up Workshop”. Two days before the event, Ms. Angela already announced the winners on this post and I was one of them!!! Yey! 😀
Bobbi Brown boutique at SM Megamall
It was held last October 26, 2013 in the training room area of Bobbi Brown in SM Megamall. The training room area is like a secret room behind the Bobbi Brown store. It is a small room which can actually accommodate 15 people for an intimate group makeup workshop.
When we entered the training room, all of the participants were given special gifts. Here they are!!! 😀
Last Sunday, I was able to attend the makeup workshop of Mr. Teddy Lim brought by PAC (Professional Artist Cosmetics) at SM North Edsa, The Block Atrium. I found out about this event when they announced it in the Professional Artist Cosmetics – PAC Philippines Facebook page.
I also like to attend the makeup competition but I am not available on that day. Too bad… 😦
