Event: Shu Uemura Drawing Pencil Workshop

Last month, BDJ Box announced in their Facebook page that Shu Uemura will be having a Drawing Pencil Workshop in which they will be featuring different eye makeup styles using the Shu Uemura Drawing Pencils.

I was able to attend the schedule that was held at the Shu Uemura counter in Rustan’s Makati. Ms. Cats Del Rosario was the Junior Make-Up Associate who did the makeup demo that afternoon.

Ms. Cats did the whole skincare routine first before applying makeup for the model. Then, she taught us how to do a perfect face makeup using different Shu Uemura products. This is actually the first time that I heard from a makeup artist that you can use two shades of foundation. The first one (the shade that is suited for the skin tone) is used for covering up the skin imperfections. The second one (a darker shade compared to the first one) is used to contour the face instead of using a powder.

After the face makeup, Ms. Cats did the eye makeup. She introduced to us the Shu Uemura Drawing Pencils. Shu Uemura aims to include fun in putting on your eye makeup so they came up with various colorful shades for you to choose from. Some of the pencils have shimmers and some have a matte finish. But all of them can effortlessly glide on your eyes so you can put on your desired look easily. Also, they are waterproof and smudge-proof. You can be sure that throughout the day, your eye makeup will stay put.

Here are some of the shades available for the Shu Uemura Drawing Pencils. 😀

Event: Bobbi Brown Makeup Workshop (Wearable Runway Trends)

Two weeks ago, I received an email invite from Bobbi Brown regarding their makeup workshops. I immediately signed up for one which is their workshop having the Wearable Runway Trends theme. 😀

It was held in front of the Bobbi Brown boutique at Rustan’s Makati Grandmall.

Remember Tamara during the Bobbi Brown x Make-Up Workshop? She was the makeup model at that time. For this workshop, she was the one who did the demo for two lovely ladies. 😀

Event: Benefit Holiday Makeup Workshop with Ana Victorino

When I saw the announcement on Benefit Cosmetics Philippines Facebook page regarding their Holiday Makeup Workshop at Rustans Makati, I immediately sent a message to reserve a slot. Aside from that, I took the opportunity to finally meet Ana Victorino. I have already watched some of her videos on YouTube and she is really good at her craft.

Just a little trivia… We’ve got the same first name… (Ana Patricia) 😉

Bobbi Brown x Make-Up Workshop

When I started having interest on makeup, it also started my interest on reading beauty blogs that could give valuable reviews on what products are worth buying. One of my most visited and favorite beauty blogs is Lush Angel. The blogger behind Lush Angel is Ms. Angela Nepomuceno. Her blog posts have a wide variety of topics from her makeup reviews to her OOTDs to her attended events and so much more. 😉

Last month marked the fifth year anniversary of Lush Angel. Yes! Five years!!! Oh my!!! How I wish I started beauty blogging earlier. To celebrate her blog’s new milestone, Ms. Angela collaborated with Bobbi Brown for a makeup workshop. To be able to attend the said event, regular visitors of Lush Angel should be able to comply to the mechanics stated in her blog post “Bobbi Brown x Make-Up Workshop”. Two days before the event, Ms. Angela already announced the winners on this post and I was one of them!!! Yey! 😀

It was held last October 26, 2013 in the training room area of Bobbi Brown in SM Megamall. The training room area is like a secret room behind the Bobbi Brown store. It is a small room which can actually accommodate 15 people for an intimate group makeup workshop.

When we entered the training room, all of the participants were given special gifts. Here they are!!! 😀

My First Makeup Workshop Experience at Beauty Crafts by Kiran

August 28, 2013 – I attended my first ever makeup workshop. Yey! 😀 In this post, I am going to share with you my experience during that day.

How was I able to attend this workshop? My friend, Myra, saw an online deal in Groupon about a five-hour Basic Makeup 101 class. The trainer is Ms. Kimberly Ann S. Chua (also known as “Kiran”). At first, there were four of us who are interested on attending this workshop. In the end, I was the only one who pursued on taking the said deal. The original price of the class is Php2,500. In the Groupon online deal, the offer is only Php875. With this, I was able to save Php1,625. Good deal, isn’t it? 😀

Why did I attend a makeup workshop? I watch lots of makeup tutorial videos over the Internet. With that, I could already learn how to apply makeup. But of course, when you are already putting on makeup, no one would tell you if you’re doing it right or wrong. That is what I am after in a makeup class. Someone would notice if I am doing a good job or not. Also, someone would make me know in which aspects of makeup application should I need to improve on.

This is a five-hour makeup class that starts from 1pm and ends at 6pm. I arrived 15 minutes before 1pm. Also, I was the first one who came. With that, I decided to take pictures of the venue while waiting for the workshop to start.

The class took place at Unit 1603 Cityland Herrera Tower Valero St. Salcedo Village, Makati City. There is a logo placed on the door of the unit. In case you are interested to give this makeup class a try, you could easily determine their unit through this displayed logo. 🙂
