First off, the review for the Pixy Ultimate Makeup Cake in White Porcelain

I initially got attracted to this product because of the packaging. I know it just looks simple but it also looks really chic and super classy. It seems like it is from a high-end brand. 😉

I like that this powder has SPF20 and PA++. Considering the hot weather that we currently have, it is important to use products that can protect our skin from the sun. Also, this powder smells good! 😀

In my case, I did not get the eight hours of perfect makeup because after four hours, I already get oily. Though, I just need to blot the oil off my face and my makeup looks perfect again. 😀

I also like that this powder does not get powdery at all (if you get what I mean… Haha! 😛 ). Even if you swirl your powder brush several times on the powder pan, you won’t get particles falling off from the compact.

I super like this powder because it can give a really smooth and nice finish to your makeup. Somewhat close to poreless perfection… 😉 It can be used alone or as a finishing powder. It can give a light to medium coverage. It can blur out skin imperfections but not totally cover them up. In that case, you might still need the help of a concealer or a liquid foundation.

Next, the review for the Pixy Waterproof Mascara in Black

I like that this mascara is waterproof and smudge-free. You don’t have to worry having unwanted black marks on your eyes. It can go clumpy after several coats but you just have to use a spoolie brush to get rid of the clumps.

Notice that the mascara wand is slightly bent which helps in curling your lashes even without the use of an eyelash curler. Though, I still recommend that you still use your eyelash curler. The lashes tend to stoop down a bit if you haven’t curled them. Another thing that I like about the mascara wand is that its tip could easily reach even the shortest lashes. 😉

Also, you can see in the picture below that the Pixy Waterproof Mascara in Black can give long, defined and thick lashes. 😀

Lastly, the review for the Pixy Silky Fit Lipstick Semi Matte in Red Chili Semi Matte

Product Description (printed on the packaging of the product):

For those who are into red lipsticks, you will definitely love the Pixy Silky Fit Lipstick Semi Matte in Red Chili Semi Matte. Aside from the super intense red shade that it could give, it is also non-drying. You don’t have to worry about getting chapped lips afterwards. It is long-lasting as well. Even after you eat, the lip color is still noticeable.

Though, in my case, it is very seldom that I use a red lipstick. I am more into nudes, peach and light pink shades. This is why I still prefer using the Pixy Silky Fit Lipstick Satin in Puppy Love Satin.

Here is a swatch of the Pixy Silky Fit Lipstick Semi Matte in Red Chili Semi Matte. It is really red as a chili!!! I just swiped that once yet I already got an intense color.

Here are the retail prices of each product (based on the April 2014 BDJ Box: Beauty Blossoms Product Information):

  • Pixy Ultimate Makeup Cake – Php445
  • Pixy Waterproof Mascara – Php260
  • Pixy Silky Fit Lipstick Semi Matte – Php265

Once again, these are affordable yet good products that you can include in your makeup collection. 😀

Here is my FOTD using the products reviewed above. 😀

LIKES:

  • affordable
  • The packaging of the powder looks chic and classy.
  • The powder has SPF20 and PA++ and has a nice scent.
  • The powder could give a nice and smooth finish to your makeup.
  • No particles are falling off from the compact even if you swirl your powder brush several times on the powder pan.
  • The mascara is waterproof and smudge-free.
  • The mascara could give long, defined and thick lashes.
  • The mascara wand could easily reach even the shortest lashes.
  • The lipstick is non-drying and long-lasting.

NEUTRAL TAKE:

  • I did not exactly get the eight hours of perfect makeup. Don’t worry because blotting, to get rid of the oil on your face, makes it look perfect again.
  • The powder could not totally cover up skin imperfections.
  • The mascara could curl up the lashes even without using an eyelash curler. However, it stoops down after some time.
  • You need to use a spoolie brush to get rid of mascara clumps.
  • It is very seldom that I use a red lipstick so it might take some time before I get to empty that tube.

DISLIKES:

None. 😀
